He has received his B.E degree in Electronics and Communications from Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica (ESIME-IPN),  his master dregree in Computer Engineering with a speciality on Digital Systems, from Centro de Investigación Tecnológica en Cómputo (CINTEC-IPN), and his PhD degree in Computing Sciencies from  Centro de Investigación en Computación (CIC-IPN). In addition, he attended a PhD Program in Computer Architecture, from Universidad Politécnica  de Cataluña,  Barcelona, Spain, where he got a Proficiency as Researcher. He has developed several projects in the areas of teaching and research; he has worked as a professor of CIC,   coordinator of the Academic Body in the PhD  program   on Computing Sciencies, coordinator of the master degree program on computing sciencies; chief of Digital Systems Laboratory, Academic Subdirector  and chief of Real-Time Laboratory. At CINTEC he worked as a research professor,  coordinator of master and research and chief of the Computer Center. Nowadays, he is Director of Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Tecnológico en Cómputo (CIDETEC-IPN) and he is part of the SNI program.
